MOGADISHU, Somalia – October 7, 2025 – Somalia has announced its participation as a partner in the highly anticipated East African Community Conference (EACON 2025), a premier regional gathering aimed at boosting economic cooperation and political ties across East Africa.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in charge of EAC Affairs, Hon. Ali Mohamed Omar, confirmed the news, calling the conference a “pivotal moment” for Somalia’s regional engagement.
